METV

I thought I would mention how lucky Austin is to have METV. It's like MTV was in the 80's (and MTV2 was in the 90's--but I don't have that on basic cable now). All music videos, all the time. They have specific genre programs alot of the time, but sometimes it is more eclectic. Tonight I was telling @G during the.story.of show (great band BTW) that I had just seen a video of one of the bands that played earlier there on METV. After I got home I turned on the TV and recognized Kathryn who I saw as part of the New Pornographers at Fun Fun Fun Fest. It was a video from her band Immaculate Machine. Rewinding TiVo to the beginning of the video I noticed that beforehand they had the NP video "Use It" from their last album Twin Cinema. Both of these were a great surprise ending to a fun night.

What channel does it come on? I've heard them talk about this on 101X. Of course, I don't have cable, but I will be at my mom's house while my brother is in town and they have every single channel on the planet!

p.s. I'll have to burn you copies of TSO's cds! Thanks for going with me.

I've got dish and get VH1 classic. They actually have some shows that interest me, depending on what you're into. Old videos, unplugged sessions, behind the music, etc.
